Buffalo Gal

goddamn buffalo

St. James Hotel, Cimarron, NM

Here’s a pretty lady under a goddamn buffalo. Hope it’s screwed in good. Don’t bother me, I’m finishing a book. (See the revised About page.) Just a few more days!

Pretty, regal though spirited lady indeed.
Does she perhaps play the piano?

Considering I see only a head, I would say that buffalo looks pretty screwed to me 😉

Man, did you ever nail it with “spirited.” And yes, she plays the piano. 🙂

She looks so little sitting there so pretty. Love her hat! It’s funny, I have sat in that same spot while at the hotel and wandered if that buffalo would fall on me. Glad to hear you are busy finishing up your book. At least I know of one person creating!

That’s my honey, all right. Glad the buffalo didn’t fall on either of you!

Yes, I’m almost finished with the book. It’s actually a collection of blog posts written between 2008 and 2012 about my mother, so the main task has been the editing. I’ve had to rewrite major portions, too, and added some relevant new writing. Fairly short, under 35K words, and I doubt there’s anything out there like it. It’s taken some major discipline to not get sidetracked into blogging before I’m done, and I hope everyone understands.
