Love Truchas and the Milagro Bean Field Wars up there. I’ve taken that High Road several times. Love the scenery and the house way out where the family sells all sorts of art things. Very creative.
If you are coming from the other side don’t you pass Chimayo and the holy church, holy water and holy dirt with miracles?

Hi Anne! Sure, if you come from the south. We hadn’t been out that way for a long time.

As it turns out, we will drive down from Ft. Collins. We will stop in Chimayo for the holy dirt and travel via the high road with an overnite in Taos on our way to Santa Fe for a few days in August. We were disappointed to see Casa Europa, a B & B outside of Taos, has closed and abandoned. We had stayed there several times.
